Last weekend we celebrated baby boy with our family and friends. I still can’t believe that we were the ones getting a baby shower. It still feels so surreal in the best possible way. We had the best day, including the best weather which made me so happy because for weeks the forecast looked like it was supposed to rain that day. Thankfully it didn’t and we we’re able to have the shower in my moms backyard and enjoy the weather.
We decided to go with a fall “pumpkin” theme for our shower and everything turned out so beautiful. Thanks Pinterest! Considering our wedding was in the fall as well, I can definitely say that it’s my favorite time of year.
We received such beautiful and thoughtful gifts, it makes me emotional thinking about all of the people who are rooting for us. I can’t thank my mom and sisters enough because they did so much for this shower and helped planned for weeks. This boy already has a tribe of ladies who love him so much. I remember once we found out I was pregnant, I immediately started planning our baby shower – it helped keep my mind off of the nausea and anxiety. I can’t believe the day came and went, and now all there is to do is wait for him to arrive!
We had all of my favorite sweets, and played several baby shower games, but more importantly enjoyed the day with friends and family which was perfect.
Now that we have all of the staples needed for the baby we just need to get full force into organizing! I know that time is going to go by so fast, and I just want to cherish these last couple of months being pregnant with my sweet boy.
