Top Five Motherhood Podcasts

November 11, 2019 by Vivian Leave a Comment

Y’all. Motherhood during this stage with an (almost) two year old can be straight up exhausting. Trying to navigate my way through parenting and disciplining in such a way that feels best and most comfortable for me and for my son can be a challenge!

I have so many early childhood education classes under my belt, and yet I am still seeking education and information on the best way to handle toddler situations.  I’d define my parenting style definitely following the guidelines of respectful parenting. I have a very sensitive child (I don’t say that lightly), and I have really had to search to find what works best for us. These podcasts have been life changing for us and the way that we parent! Some content is purely relatable and some I really listen to when I need help navigating a certain issue.

Find The Magic – Love, love, love this podcast. They also follow respectful parenting, and talk about Janet Lansbury’s work and tips quite often, and how they apply these teachings in real life situations. They are so down to earth and willing to talk about the hard stuff.

Coffee + Crumbs – I absolutely love their “this is how we do…” episodes. I think that hearing from the women and hearing the different ways that they all handle different situations in life with kids, or styles of parenting is so fascinating. This podcast feels like you’re just chatting with some friends!

Respectful Parenting: Unruffled – From the actual queen of respectful parenting herself, you just cannot get any better information than from Janet Lansbury. She is SUCH a wealth of knowledge, her voice makes me feel so calm and gives me real solutions to dealing with a plethora of issues when it comes to parenting. I have learned how to stay calm and let my child have his feelings without trying to stop, distract, or “punish” him for those feelings. Listen, and I promise you will learn so much!

Risen Motherhood – I would say that this podcast is more for my own soul. Emily and Laura are really great at just giving inspiration when motherhood feels hard. They provide biblical truths that pertain to parenting and motherhood when times seem really tough.

Parenting Beyond Discipline – Erin is awesome! She answers a ton of listener questions, and because these are real life situations – it is SO helpful! She gives amazing practical tips on how to deal with all of the things.
