Reading is something I love to do when I have free time. During the school semesters you’ll find me reading boring text books, but over winter break I remembered just how much I love to read and how relaxing it is (as opposed to looking at social media every chance I get). I have three books in my queue at the moment that I’ve been rotating reading between (my mood for what I want to read changes a lot).
Lauren Graham: Talking as Fast as I Can | Joe got me this book for Christmas and I have been reading a little bit each week. I love getting a look into Lauren Graham’s life, and you can totally hear her voice in the writing style. This has been a fun and easy read so far, which I like for light reading. I’m also very excited to get a behind the scenes look into Gilmore Girls, of course!
Rainbow Rowell: Elanor & Park | I’ve actually had this book for quite some time but haven’t found time to dig into it and finish reading. I’ve only heard great things about this novel, so I’ve started it back up again and I’m already hooked on reading it.
Shauna Niequist: Savor | This is a daily devotional that is set up for the entire year. It’s one short page for each day which is easy to commit to. It helps me feel uplifted and each day has a story or lesson along with it. I didn’t finish it last year so I’m going back through it again. I can relate with Shauna and I love how truthful and powerful her writing is. Since this is a read that I mostly do in the morning when I wake up, it’s easy to read in addition to the other books.
What are you currently reading, and what should I read next?
