I’m back to share days two and three of our Disneyland vacation. If you haven’t already, you should check out part one.
Day two was our one technically full day at Disneyland, and we wanted an early start. We had one magic morning but by the time we got through security and the main line, it was actually time for the park to open so we didn’t get to use it.
First thing we did was grabbed fast passes for Hyperspace Mountain. Joe had never done this ride before, and I hadn’t in years. Plus I was super excited to see how they updated it. Once we snagged those we ran to Frontier Land and Adventure Land to do some of the other main rides before the lines got crazy. The Disneyland app is one of the best things, being able to know the wait times before walking across the park is so convenient. We were actually able to walk onto Indiana Jones with no wait time! Same goes for Haunted Mansion, it was perfect! We decided to head over to Tomorrow Land after taking some pictures and getting food. At that point we another fast pass for Star Tours and rode Space Mountain, which we ended up riding several times after this because it was the best. We had a blast in Tomorrow Land with Star Tours, and Astro Blasters. Even though I’m not a Star Wars fan we had the best time in that area.
During the middle of the day we rode Big Thunder Mountain (we rode it many times, it’s that fun), we did some smaller rides, and then rode Splash Mountain before it was dinner time. Disneyland has such amazing food that it was hard to pick where we wanted to eat. Next time we are making reservations at The Plaza Inn and getting the fried chicken. I wish we could have done that this particular evening but the wait was extremely long.
We rode our favorite rides a few more times before getting a Dole Whip (it was too dark for a good picture, boo), which is now all I can think about. I’m thinking about attempting to make my own because it’s so delicious. We tried to make our way back to Main Street only to find out that the fireworks show was canceled due to high winds. It was honestly a huge bummer, and the crowds on Main Street were so intense that we decided to head back to the hotel for the night.
Our last half day at the park was spent re-riding our most favorite rides (Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain, Indiana Jones, and a few others) before doing some souvenir shopping and heading back home.
Thankfully we left when we did because a big rain storm hit us driving home and it would not have been fun in five o’clock traffic.
This was truly the best three day vacation and I’m so thankful we were able to go for my 25th birthday. Of course I’m already thinking about the next time we can go back. This girl just loves Disney.
Do you love Disney as much as I do? What is your favorite thing about the parks?
