Being pregnant has felt like a whole new routine change for me. I now check the ingredients on makeup labels, limit my caffeine, cut out lunch meat (like, what?) so needless to say I’ve found quite a few things that have become a staple to my new routine. I’m all about being comfortable and finding things that are affordable but also good quality, so I’ve gathered up my essentials that I haven’t strayed from since finding them.

Aquaphor lip balm – The best lip balm hands down. When I had all day sickness I couldn’t stomach smells or anything with flavor on my lips so I bought this and now I need one in every room of the house. It’s the only lip balm that keeps my lips hydrated and smooth.
Safe Nail Polish – If you know me, you’d know that pre-pregnancy I had my nails painted all the time. Once I became pregnant I couldn’t stomach the smell in the first trimester, and then I also wanted to make sure that I was using safe products. Now, I make sure to check every polish I use. Did you even know there are some nail polishes made with formaldehyde in them?? I’ve even looked at some bottles I have and found that they straight up say “can cause birth defects” WHY would I want to use that? So far I’ve found that Essie, Zoya, and some OPI polishes are safer but there are better ones out there that I should probably invest in. Definitely do some research, and you’d be very surprised! I am adding some of the top rated safe polishes to the widget below.
Bubba cup – Every pregnant girl needs a big cup for ice water. This has been my favorite cup for a long time and the silicone straws are my favorite. All BPA free of course.
Belly butter – My skin has always been super dry – but now that my belly is growing, it’s also really itchy. This one from Burts Bees “Mama Bee Belly Butter” is so creamy and really does help with the itchiness.
Pregnancy Wedge Pillow – This has been such a life saver during pregnancy. I use it behind my back and also under my belly. It’s inexpensive and really comes in handy! I didn’t splurge on a huge pregnancy pillow because I felt like it would take up so much room in the bed, and I also didn’t want to buy it and hate it, so this small wedge pillow has been my bff.
Silicone ring – Since my skin has been more dry it has also been extra sensitive. I ended up with a rash under my rings and found out it is from hormones! I decided to buy a set of silicone rings on Amazon and have been wearing them since – they have actually turned into a favorite of mine. This will also be great if I have any swelling in the third trimester and my husband loves them for work and sports!
