30 Week Bumpdate

November 6, 2017 by Vivian 2 Comments

It’s November and I am officially 30 weeks pregnant! 30 weeks definitely feels like the home stretch. We’ve had our baby shower (which I will share more in an upcoming post) and now it’s all about preparing for baby to join us in the next couple of months. I’m sure with the holiday’s coming up time will fly and we still have a lot of organizing and preparing to do.

30 week bumpdate

Baby | is almost 3 pounds (!!!) and the size of a cantaloupe or cabbage according to my app. He is SO active and his favorite places to kick are my ribs and my hips – so that’s a little startling when it happens while I’m sleeping.

Name | We still don’t have an official name for baby boy which is crazy to me, but here we are. We have a name we really like but are holding off on making it official until we are 100% certain.  Plus, I think we want to wait to announce his name until he is born.

Symptoms | Sore hips like crazy! I can’t sleep on one side for more than thirty minutes without my hips being in complete pain. Some nights when I’m having hip pain and acid reflux I just sleep sitting up because it seems to be the only way I get a few hours of rest. I truly can’t complain though when I’m just so happy that my nausea didn’t stick around.

Missing | Having energy and being able to sleep on my back.

Fun Moment | We had our baby shower this past weekend and I cannot wait to share more in my next post.

Purchases | We now have all of the big ticket items for baby boy (car seat, stroller, where he will sleep) and since we we’re just showered with amazing gifts from friends and family all there is to do now is buy random essentials that we will need!

Coming up | I have my 30 week appointment tomorrow and then I believe I move to every two weeks. I’m crossing my fingers that we will have an ultrasound at some point, it’s been 10 weeks since we’ve seen baby and it’s killing me! I also passed my glucose test, but not until having to take the three hour one – which was brutal. Thankfully we’re in the clear and that’s all that matters.

That’s it for this time! We are in the home stretch and I’m going to be spending these last 10 weeks or so getting everything ready for baby and preparing myself for all of the changes coming up!
