I honestly can’t remember the last time I did a recipe post! I was having a pregnancy craving the other night for these donuts, and figured I would share them with you guys. My mom, sisters, and I would make these all the time when I was growing up. You only need a total of four ingredients – most of which you probably already have, and it literally takes about ten minutes to make a batch! I love to eat these as a dessert or they would be amazing with coffee the next morning – either way you should try them!
Ingredients:
1/2 cup of sugar per one can of biscuits
As much cinnamon as you prefer (I eyeball it every time)
1 can of buttermilk biscuits (the cheap ones – not flaky)
1/2 – 1 cup of vegetable oil
Directions:
- Mix your sugar with the cinnamon on a large plate
- Start heating your vegetable oil on the stove in a medium sauce pan
- Use a bottle cap to cut the middles out of your biscuits
- Place about 2-4 biscuits in the pan at once and flip once golden
- Immediately place in the sugar mixture to coat
