One of the biggest things I wanted to instill in my son from an early age, was having a love for learning and reading. As someone who has taken a ton of classes in early childhood education, the proof is in the pudding for how important reading to children is at a very young age. So from the get go, I started reading to Nate. Now, he loves reading. He’s not even two yet, and chooses to pick up books over doing a lot of other activities – and honestly that makes me so happy!
Every season I like to pick up a few new books here and there to keep out and do activities along with them. So since it’s officially fall, I wanted to share some of our favorite fall and Halloween books for toddlers & preschool aged kids!
I really love a good theme. So, if we read about pumpkins, we might decorate a pumpkin or have a sensory activity to go along with it. Visit a pumpkin patch, etc. it’s so much fun to get them interested in things before they happen! These are all books that Nathan has really enjoyed, or that I have personally read to my past kindergarten & first grade classes in the past!
